Leakage Sensor
Type SVT 05
The STRIKO leakage alarm SVT 05 represents the meaningful further development and indispensable supplement of the proven STRIKO alarm SVT 02. It is furnished with a product side, closed PTFE film that will curve also with a slow press increase which will destroy the conductor circuit. The response pressure is only slightly above the values of the alarm SVT02.

Service description
Conventional alarms provide signal only when if the bursting disc has fully triggered. Based on its design with pre-slotted film, they are also suited for low pressures, however only for a relatively quick pressure increase. A slow pressure increase, e.g. through leaks due to pitting corrosion or hairline cracks of the upstream bursting disc, can be balanced through the slotted film of the standard alarm SVT 02 , and does not trigger any signal.
Especially under environmental protection view points, the early detection of leaking bursting discs or the triggering of safety valves is important and possible with SVT 05.
The delivery occurs entirely ready-to-install with seals and connecting cables. Of course it is fit for use for DIN, ANSI and JIS flanges – and can be configured with other seals depending on the use scenario.

Note about ATEX
According to notification 3.42-10333/98-El of the National Metrology Institute (PTB) of 07/01/1998 the alarm represents, in terms of the ignition protection type own safety “i”, a so called simple electrical operating material, and is described in detail in Section 5.4 from EN 50020. Simple electrical operating materials must not be certified, if they meet the requirements from EN 50020 and Section 6.1.3.1.3 from DIN VDE 0165/1991-02 “Establishing an electrical system in explosive areas”. All STRIKO alarms meet these requirements.
